Minaev Viktor Fedorovich

Painter. Born in Lugansk in 1928..In 1950 he graduated from Luhansk state art school. Teachers by profession: I. V. Alexeev, M. L. Wollstein, A. A. Gilbert, T. N. Capcanes.
After graduation, he worked as chief artist of Berdychevska theatre,then in Lugansk regional Russian drama theater, Yaroslavl theatre of operetta.
Because of the illness of his wife to Victor Fedorovich had to retrain for a school teacher of drawing.
Thematic and genre range of the artist B. F. Minaev wide – he writes not only still lives, he works in portrait, historical, landscape, household genres, appeals to folk motives, works as artist-decorator.
But special recognition Minaev gained as many viewers, and fans of his talent canvases on historical themes. This multi-figure composition, in which the author managed to reveal his talent fully and realize the achievements and traditions of Ukrainian and foreign art schools.Turning to historical themes, he glorifies the heroic past of the Zaporozhian Cossacks: “Cossacks in France” (2003), “From the Crimea – home!” (2006), “Seagulls attacked a Turkish galley” (2006 – 2007); Bulavin movement: “the Bulavin rebellion on the don” (2006); reflect the theme of faith and religion: “Kyiv legend” (2002), “Sacrilege” (2003).
Lives and works in Lugansk.
