Shcherbakov, Nikolay Nikolaevich was born on 20 July 1928 in S. Vlasova-Burovka the Rostov region. In 1936 he moved to the town of Krasny Luch, Luhansk region. In 1945-1950 he studied at Lugansk state art school. In 1950-1956 he studied at the Lviv Institute of applied and decorative arts, in 1960, the year – joined the Union of artists of Ukraine; in 1968, the year awarded the title of honored art worker of Ukraine; in 1983 – was awarded the Honorary diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of Ukraine. Lives and works in Lugansk. Works are in museums, private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Famous works: the memorial complex”Unconquered” in Krasnodon (in co-authorship with N. Mazaevym and G. Sleptsov), “Courage of fire” and others.
