Masik Vladimir Ilyich (1917-1996) – Ukrainian graphic artist, painter. Born in the city of Katerinoslav. Graduated from Kyiv art Institute (1950), where he studied with M. Sharonov and K. Trokhymenko. Worked in the genre of painting and graphic art, particularly book illustration. Honored artist of Ukraine (1977). The most famous works of the artist: “New building in Kosovo” (1960), “can’t forget” (1967-1975), and “First snow” (1993) series on motives of the poetry of Taras Shevchenko (1961-1963), numerous book illustrations, bookplates. The participant of many Republican, all-Union exhibitions.
